How to join your Minecraft server
Join from Java Edition, Bedrock on PC and phones, and Bedrock on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch.
| Edition | Where | What to type |
|---|---|---|
| Java | Multiplayer → Add Server | name.play.jumphosting.cloud |
| Bedrock (PC, mobile) | Servers → Add Server | The address and port shown in your panel's Overview, e.g. node1.jumphosting.cloud port 19132 |
| Bedrock (console) | A server-list helper | Consoles can't add servers themselves. Set the console's primary DNS to a public BedrockConnect server (search “BedrockConnect DNS” for the current address), open any Featured Server, then add your address and port from the list it shows |
Java Edition
Open Minecraft, click Multiplayer → Add Server, and paste name.play.jumphosting.cloud as the server address (use your server's name). Java players never type a port. Your game version has to match the server's, which you can see and change in Settings.
Bedrock on PC, phones and tablets
Open Play → Servers → Add Server. Bedrock connects straight to the machine your server is on, so it needs the address and the port shown on your panel's Overview, e.g. node1.jumphosting.cloud port 19132. Bedrock players join the same world as Java players through Geyser, so everyone can play together.
Bedrock on Xbox, PlayStation and Switch
Consoles only list Featured Servers and can't add their own. The usual way around it is BedrockConnect: set the console's primary DNS to a public BedrockConnect server, open any Featured Server, and a server list appears where you can add your address and port.
If it won't connect
A free server that has been asleep takes about a minute to wake on the first join; try again then. Otherwise see troubleshooting.
