The free plan
Why is it free?
Free servers sleep when nobody's playing, so they cost us little. Paid plans cover the rest.
Is there a time limit?
Not while you play. A free server that isn't started for 90 days is deleted; we email you a warning first.
Does it sleep when nobody is on?
Yes. After 15 minutes with nobody online it stops, and starts again when someone joins. The first join takes about 30 seconds.
Do I need a card?
No. Not for the free plan, ever.
What if I stop playing?
Free servers that aren't started for 90 days are deleted. We email you a warning first.
Can I have more than one free server?
No, one free server per account.
Servers
How do friends join?
Give them your address, like my-world.play.jumphosting.cloud. Java players add it in Multiplayer and connect. Bedrock players also enter the port shown in the panel.
Java or Bedrock?
Java is the PC version; Bedrock is console, mobile and the Windows store version. Servers run Java Edition, and Bedrock players join the same server through Geyser.
Can I upload my own world?
Yes. Drop the world folder or a .zip into Files, or use SFTP, then restart.
Can I pick an older version?
Yes, from Settings. We back up before switching so you can go back.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. Point a CNAME at your play.jumphosting.cloud address and add the domain in Settings.
Where are the servers?
North America east and west, Europe west, Southeast Asia. You pick the region when you create one.
The software
What software do servers run?
Paper, a fast, widely used Java Edition server. Worlds, mechanics and commands are vanilla's.
Do mods and plugins work?
Paper and Bukkit/Spigot plugins. Fabric and Forge mods aren't supported yet.
What's the Jump engine?
Our own lightweight server, written in C++. It's still in development; when it's ready, servers can switch to it from the panel.
Why does the panel show tick time?
A server does 20 ticks a second. Tick time is how long each one takes; under 50 ms means no lag.
Account & billing
How do I upgrade?
Settings → Plan. Pick a tier, pay, done. Your world and address stay the same.
Can I go back to free?
Yes, any time. Your world is kept as long as it fits the free limits.
Refunds?
Full refund within 7 days of a first payment, no questions. After that, prorated when you downgrade.
Can I share the panel with a friend?
Yes. Invite co-owners from Settings → Access. They get the full panel for that server only.
How do I delete my account?
Settings → Danger zone on each server, then account settings. Backups are purged after 7 days.
