This explains what Jump collects when you use the website, the control panel, Hopper and your servers, why, and what you can do about it. We don't sell your data and we don't show ads.

What we collect

  • Your account: your email address, a scrambled (hashed) version of your password if you set one, and whether you signed in with Google. From when you signed up: the country your IP address was in (looked up on our own servers with DB-IP's free database, so the address isn't sent anywhere), your browser's language and time zone, the kind of device, and how you found Jump (the site or link you came from and the first page you saw), so we can see who Jump is reaching.
  • Sign-ins and activity: the IP address and browser of each login, and a log of what's done in your account and on your servers (who did what, when: signing up and in, starting servers, installing mods, changing plans, messaging Hopper, and why a server crashed), so you and we can see what happened and how Jump is used. It records that something was done, not what you wrote: never your messages, files or passwords.
  • Your servers: their files, worlds, settings, console output and backups.
  • Players on your servers: the Minecraft names and IDs of people who join, and when they were first and last seen, shown to you in the Players tab. Players' IP addresses reach your server as they do on any Minecraft server.
  • Payments: handled by Stripe. We see the plan, the amount and whether it was paid, never your full card number.
  • Hopper chats: your messages, his replies and what he looked up for you (for example console lines or a config file). We keep the most recent part of the conversation so he remembers it; "New" clears it.
  • Panel recordings: we record how you use the panel (the pages, clicks and scrolling) so we can see what's confusing and fix it. Anything you type is hidden, and the console, the file editor and Hopper chats are left out entirely. Recordings stay with us (stored on Cloudflare) and only Jump staff can watch them. In the EU, the UK, Switzerland, California, Washington and Quebec we ask first and only record if you say yes (we go by your browser's time zone); elsewhere the panel is recorded.
  • Status updates: your email, if you subscribe on the status page.
  • Visits to the website: which pages are viewed, the site or link you came from, the kind of device, browser and system, and your browser's time zone and language, so we can see what's working. It's counted without cookies: your IP address and browser are turned into a code that can't be turned back and that changes every day, so you aren't recognised from one day to the next and the address itself isn't stored. We keep the country it's in.

Why

To run your servers and your account, take payments, send the emails you need (login links, receipts, warnings before a server is deleted, status updates you asked for), keep the service safe from abuse, and fix problems.

Who it's shared with

Only the companies that help us run Jump, for that purpose:

WhoFor
StripePayments, invoices and sales tax
AnthropicHopper's answers (the conversation and what he looks up are sent to their Claude AI)
ResendSending emails
CloudflareStoring backups, sleeping servers and panel recordings, our domain, and the human check (Turnstile) before a server is created, which looks at your browser and IP address to tell people from scripts
GoogleSigning in with Google, if you choose it
Our hosting providers (US and EU)The machines the website, panel and game servers run on

The panel also loads players' skin pictures from mc-heads.net, which sees the player names it's asked for, and searches Modrinth for plugins and mods. We share data with others only if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Your account, until you ask us to delete it.
  • Servers until you delete them; unused free servers are deleted after 90 days (with warnings first).
  • Backups for as long as your plan keeps them, and deleted with the server.
  • Logins last 30 days.
  • The activity log is kept after a server is deleted, so its history isn't lost; IP addresses on it are removed after 30 days, and if you delete your account its entries are no longer linked to your email.
  • Panel recordings for 30 days, or until you delete your account.
  • Website visit counts for 13 months.

Your choices

  • See and change your servers and settings any time in the panel; delete a server from its Settings.
  • Ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete your account: support@jumphosting.cloud.
  • Where we ask before recording the panel, change your answer any time in a server's Settings, under Access.
  • Unsubscribe from status emails with the link in any of them.

Children

Jump isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you think a child under 13 has an account, contact us and we'll delete it.

Cookies

We use one cookie to keep you signed in, and your browser's storage for small conveniences like remembering who's signed in (and, when the panel is recorded, which recording a browser tab belongs to). If you arrive through an affiliate's link, a second cookie remembers which affiliate sent you for 30 days, so an account you make is credited to them; it holds only their code. No tracking or advertising cookies.

Changes and contact

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we'll email account holders first. Questions: support@jumphosting.cloud. See also our terms.
