Terms of service

These terms cover your use of Jump (jumphosting.cloud): the website, the control panel, Hopper (the panel assistant) and the Minecraft servers we host for you. By making an account or a server you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use Jump.

Your account

  • You need to be at least 13. If you're under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms and to any payment.
  • Keep your login safe. You're responsible for what happens on your account and your servers, including by co-owners you invite.
  • One free server per person. Making extra accounts to get more free servers isn't allowed.

Free servers

  • Free servers go to sleep when nobody is playing and wake up when someone joins or you press Start.
  • A free server nobody has used for 90 days is deleted, with its world. We email the owner at 60 and 75 days first.
  • Free servers have no backups. Download your world from Files if you want to keep a copy.
  • We may change what the free plan includes. We'll say so on the site before it affects running servers.

Paid plans

  • Paid plans renew every week or month until you cancel. You can cancel any time from Manage billing; the plan runs to the end of the period you paid for, then the server goes back to free.
  • Changing plan charges or credits the difference for the rest of the period straight away.
  • Prices are in US dollars. Sales tax is added where it applies and is handled by our payment provider, Stripe.
  • If a payment fails, Stripe retries it. If it still can't be paid, the server goes back to the free plan; your world is kept.
  • If a server is down for a long time because of a fault on our side, contact us and we'll make it right with credit.

What you can't do

Don't use Jump to:

  • break the law, or Mojang's and Microsoft's Minecraft rules (the EULA and Usage Guidelines);
  • attack, scan or flood other computers, mine cryptocurrency, run proxies for anything but Minecraft, or send spam;
  • host malware, stolen accounts or content that sexualises minors, or harass people;
  • get around limits or plans (for example several free accounts, or hiding a paid server's load on a free one);
  • misuse Hopper: he's for help with your servers, not a general chatbot, and trying to make him harm other people's servers isn't allowed.

We can suspend or delete a server or account that breaks these rules. For serious or repeated cases we may do so without warning, and paid time isn't refunded.

Your content

Your worlds, plugins, files and settings stay yours. You give us permission to store, copy and run them only to provide the service (for example backups and deep sleep). You're responsible for having the right to upload what you upload, including plugins and mods.

Hopper

Hopper is an AI assistant. He can be wrong. Nothing he suggests changes your server until you approve it, so read what a change does before you press "Do it". Daily limits apply.

Affiliate program

If you join the affiliate program, these terms apply to you as well as the rest of this page.

  • You need to be 18 or over, or have a parent or guardian join and receive payouts for you. You need a bank account in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom, Switzerland or the European Economic Area, the places our payment provider can pay. We decide who joins and may turn down any application.
  • A referral is a new Jump account made within 30 days of someone clicking your link, in the same browser. If they clicked more than one affiliate's link, the last one counts. We can't credit sign-ups we didn't see come through your link.
  • You earn 20% of what each referral pays for plans in the 6 months after their first payment, after discounts and credit and not counting sales tax. Free servers earn nothing.
  • Each commission is held for 30 days. If the payment is refunded or disputed, the commission is cancelled, or taken off your next payout if it was already paid.
  • Commissions are earned in US dollars. In the first days of each month, a balance of $20 or more is paid through Stripe, which checks your identity and handles tax forms where needed. Payouts are sent in Canadian dollars, converted at the rate each referral's payment was converted at, and Stripe converts them to your currency. Stripe's fees come out of each payout: CA$2.25 plus 0.25% of it (0.5% outside Canada), and Stripe's currency conversion if you're paid in another currency. A smaller balance carries over to the next month. You're responsible for any tax on what you earn.
  • Don't refer yourself, accounts you control or people paid to sign up; send spam; bid on "Jump" in search ads; pretend to be Jump or say we endorse you; or promise discounts or terms we don't offer.
  • If you break these rules, we may suspend or remove you from the program and cancel commissions that came from it. Either of us can end your membership any time; commissions you earned fairly before then are still paid once they reach the minimum.
  • We may change the program's terms or end it. Changes don't reduce commissions already earned, and we'll email affiliates before they take effect.

Availability and liability

We work hard to keep servers up, but Jump is provided as it is, without a promise that it will never go down or lose data. Keep your own copies of anything important. As far as the law allows, we're not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 3 months before the problem.

Not affiliated

Jump is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft.
