Make a free Minecraft server in a minute
Create a free Minecraft server on Jump: pick Java or Bedrock, name it, and it's online in under a minute.
- On the home page, pick Java or Bedrock.
- Type a name. It becomes your address:
name.play.jumphosting.cloud. - Click Create server. It's online in under a minute.
- Make an account with your email so you can get back to the panel later.
That's it. The free plan needs no card. It's smaller than the paid ones, sleeps after 15 minutes with nobody online, and wakes when someone joins (the first join takes about a minute while it's restored). A free server that isn't started for 90 days is deleted; we email you a warning first.
What you get for free
- 2 GB of memory and as many player slots as you like (set them in Settings): plenty for friends on vanilla or a few plugins.
- Any Java version, on Paper, Purpur, Fabric, Forge, NeoForge and about 20 other server types.
- Bedrock players too, on phones, tablets, Windows and consoles, through Geyser.
- The full panel: console, file manager, SFTP, player lists, a plugin and mod catalog, and your own domain.
What to do next
Send your friends the address (how they join), turn on the whitelist if it's just for you and them, and add plugins or mods if you want more than vanilla. Bringing a single-player world? Upload it before your first session.
