A Sparked Host alternative
Sparked Host sells low-cost paid servers and offers a short free trial. If you'd like a free server with no clock on it, here's how Jump compares.
What Sparked Host offers
Sparked sells paid Minecraft servers at several price levels, with its own panel, a modpack installer and live chat support. There's no free plan, though it has offered a short free trial.
Its plans change, so check Sparked Host's own site for current details.
What you get on Jump
- Free with no end date. A 2 GB server with no card and no trial clock. It sleeps when nobody's on and wakes when someone joins.
- Flat paid plans. $4.99 (2 GB), $9.99 (4 GB), $14.99 (6 GB) or $19.99 (8 GB) a month, or weekly. Your first week is from $0.99.
- Plugins and mods from the panel. A catalog for Paper, Fabric, Forge and NeoForge, plus one-click modpacks on paid plans.
- Hopper, a panel assistant that reads your console and explains what went wrong.
- Friends can help run it. Invite co-owners from Settings → Access.
Where Sparked may suit you better
Sparked sells plans smaller and cheaper than Jump's smallest paid plan, and has more locations. If you need a tiny always-on server, or players outside the US, it may cost less or play better.
Moving to Jump
- Download your server's files from Sparked over SFTP: the world,
plugins/ormods/, and configs. - Create a server on Jump with the same software and version.
- Stop it and upload the files over SFTP or with Upload world in Files.
- Start it and join.
Questions
Is the free plan a trial?
No. It's free for as long as you use it. A free server that isn't started for 90 days is deleted, with emails before that happens.
Can friends help run the server?
Yes. Invite co-owners from Settings → Access; they get the full panel for that server only.
Is Jump affiliated with Sparked Host?
No. Sparked Host is a separate company; this page compares the two from Jump's side.
